Labeling, as a form of prejudice and discrimination, resulting in the exclusion and rejection of certain groups of people is the subject of the Ten Images for Ithaca 2010 parallel exhibition. Ten distinguished designers from countries such as Brazil, Iran, Poland, the United States, Germany, Switzerland and Greece, comment on their own reality and how it is affected by discrimination and categorization. There is no polite way to talk about discrimination and all posters carry strong images that confront the viewer with how deeply "wounded" our society is by discrimination and how "easy" it has been to classify people into categories. The posters are talking about the multicultural reality that we all face every day and deal with issues as fundamental as our respect for nature, equality, freedom of expression and the right to be different.
